Sanchez mesmerizes the U.K as Jamaicans celebrate 43rd Anniversary of Independence.

Crossing the Atlantic, Sanchez reclaimed the cities of Birmingham, Bradford and London as he headlined the Independence celebrations in the U.K. in what has become an annual. He again lived up to expectations of his usual dapper style and endearing love songs, nostalgic hits and devout gospel renditions.

A record number of fans came out in Birmingham where he shared the stage with Lukie D and George Nooks who delivered a lively set preceding the arrival of Sanchez on stage at 3:00 a.m. to tumultuous applause and adulation. Reeling off seasoned favorites and new love songs with the Chronic Band, Sanchez climaxed the show with the Jamaican National Anthem to deafening applause and ended with gospel favorite 'Amazing Grace' at 4:30 a.m. to shouts of more.

In Bradford he performed at the Hilton Hotel Ballroom at midnight as sole performer. Fans from neighboring cities came out in style to celebrate Jamaican Independence and cheer her native son as female fans stormed the stage. A 2:00 a.m. curfew ended a memorable performance.

Sunday's performance was the icing on the cake as a capacity crowd attended the Hammersmith Apollo Theatre in London. Fans returned to experience the ecstasy they enjoyed at the venue last year, where along with the London Philharmonic Strings Orchestra, The Thalita Mass Choir of London and the Chronic Band, Sanchez took the place apart. Resplendent on stage, Sanchez encouraged the flag-waving crowd into a sing-along as he reeled off some of his favorites.

Sanchez returned to the U.S. for Summer Jamz at the Roy Wilkens Park in Queens New York on September 4th and Pennsley in Philadelphia on September 18 th He will be in Amsterdam Holland on Oct 16th to complete his European tour of 2005.
