Veteran Reggae crooner Sanchez is creating waves on the summer festivals now taking place in Europe. According to reports reaching Splash, the lovers' rock vocalist is on a definite high as travels across Europe.
One report indicated that Sanchez had to be escorted off stage to avoid being mobbed by fans attending one of his concerts.
A source who has been on tour with the singer says that his new-found popularity in Europe stems from the fact that he comes with no controversy attached to his name, his singing ability, and his method of highlighting the positives of Reggae.
"With the current wave of negative publicity as a result of cancellation of dates and performances of a number of dancehall acts, it is refreshing to see Sanchez keeping the Jamaican flag flying high with his consummate performances, especially before large audiences at these festivals," the source said.
Another report received by the Observer stated that in Cologne, Germany, the 19th annual Summerjam was "a sea of never ending black, gold and green during Sanchez's performance.
Sanchez has also performed in Holland, Italy and Switzerland.
